This reduction in carbs puts your body into a metabolic state called ketosis, where you burn fat for energy!
As you progress in the Keto Diet, you may start to realize that it has serious food restrictions. If you disregard them, you will kick yourself out of ketosis and continue to gain weight.
One of the ways to stay strong in the Keto Diet is to always plan ahead!
Meal planning on the Keto Diet will take a bit of work in the beginning. But these keto recipes were made for people with busy schedules and limited amounts of time!
First, you need to know HOW TO effectively meal prep.
1.) Plan Out Your Meals For the Week
Sit down and plan out what you are going to eat for each meal.
Make a grocery list of all the food items you will need
In the beginning, this will take some extra work because you will have to find recipes that are easy to make and enjoyable to eat. (See below for recipe ideas)
However, after you have planned out your meals for a few weeks, it will get easier. I promise!

2.) Go Grocery Shopping
Do a big grocery haul!
…but don’t cheat! Only buy the items that are on your grocery list. (No, put down the bread!)
Pro Tip: Never go grocery shopping on an empty stomach. You always tend to buy things you don’t need when you are hungry.

3.) Find a Time to Prepare Your Meals For the Week
For most people, the best day to meal prep is Sunday.
Some people prefer their meals to be more fresh, so they meal prep several nights a week.
